HRST Books’ mission is to develop and produce educational material and resources for the beauty industry. Currently specializing in period and theatrical information, HRST Books offers books on hair and makeup from the early and mid-twentieth century. With many publishers focusing on general purpose beauty books for the masses, HRST Books strives to provide material on specialty subjects that have since been ignored by the general publishing world. These subjects are in great demand by creative professionals looking to expand their knowledge in specialty looks and theatrical design.

Originally started as a means for Lauren Rennells to self-publish, the company’s mission has since blossomed into being a provider of specialty education material. HRST Books uses its resources to both create and help others create material for publishing.
